SNOWY MONARO VISITOR ECONOMY TO BENEFIT FROM NSW GOVERNMENT EVENT REGIONAL FUND

Friday, 27 June 2025

The Snowy Monaro visitor economy is set to benefit from a more vibrant events calendar with Snowies Multisport Festival amongst the 61 recipients of the Minns Labor Government's 2025/26 Regional Event Fund.

Member for Monaro Steve Whan said the funds would help event owners bring their vision to life, making a value contribution to the Snowy Monaro visitor economy.

"We know the Snowy mountains is one of the state's key tourist destinations, bringing in hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. That's why I'm very excited to announce that Snowy Multisport Festival run by In2Adventure has been awarded $20,000 under the Minns Labor Government's regional event fund.

"In previous years, this event has had something for everyone, with the Snowies Mountain Bike Festival, Trail Run Australia Event, and the hardcore TreX Cross Triathlon.

"The funding going towards the event will be a huge boost to the local Snowy Mountains economy, helping to support our workers and business owners, all while celebrating the vibrancy and beauty of one of the best regions in the country," Steve Whan said.

The Regional Event Fund forms part of the Minns Labor Government's commitment to strengthening local communities and growing regional visitor economies.

The program provides grants of up to $50,000 to help bring events to life - from marketing and PR campaigns to infrastructure and equipment hire to enhance the visitor experience.
